Sawai Madhopur

Sawai Madhopur is one of the renowned tourist destinations in the state of Rajasthan as well as in India. It is situated towards the Eastern Gate of Rajasthan. The name of the city is given after Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh who was the founder of the city in the year 1763. Sawai Madopur is a district that is famous for the most popular National Park named Ranthambore that is reserved for Tigersand become of the most visiting tourist places in India. The Ranthambore Fort that is an UNESCO World Heritage Site can be seen along with the Tiger reserved park. It is one of the largest National Parks in India. Ranthambhore National Park

Ranthambhore National Park is reserved for Tigers and one of the largest National Parks in India. It is 15kms away from Sawai Madhopur city. It was declared as Wildlife Sanctuary in the year 1955 and as national Park in the year 1980. You can experience great jeep safari rides inside the dense forest of Ranthambore where you can spot some Tigers and other wild species like birds, reptiles and flora. It’s a great place for Photographers, adventures and Nature lovers.

Ranthambhore Fort

Ranthambore Fort is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site that stands at the middle of the forest. This fort gives a magnificent view to the tourist visiting Ranthambore overlooking the entire that can only be described as breathtaking. It offers many interesting architectural and historical sight worth viewing and photographing.

Surwal Lake
It is another most popular sightseeing of SawaiMadhopur.It is located at 14 kilometres from the town.This is a shallow seasonal lake that usually dries during the months of April and May. It lies amongst agricultural fields and is home to many species of migratory birds. The most popular ones include Flamingos, Spoonbills, Sarus crane, Painted Storks and Greylag Geese.

The Trinetra Ganesha Temple
It is a Hindu temple and it is also known as “Pratham Ganesha”. This temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Son of Lord Shiva. You can attend aartis while visiting this temple.
