Dilwara Jain Temples

Dilwara Jain Temples is one of the most impressive and magnificent Jain temple in the city of Mount Abu. The structure of the Temple is designed with marble stone that were constructed between 11th and 13th centuries ago. It is dedicated to five Jain Tirthankara’s such as - Shri Mahaveer Swami Temple, Shri Adi Nath Temple, Shri Parshav Nath Temple, Shri Rishabdaoji Temple and Shri NemiNath Ji Temple. It is one of the most must visiting Tourist places in India.

Nakki Lake

Nakki Lake is one of the beautiful lakes that give a picturesque view of the city as a whole. It is an artificial lake that is located at a height of 1200 meters above the sea level. It is another most tourist visiting places in Mount Abu.

Achalgarh Fort

Originally this fort was built by the paramara dynasty rulers but it was later reconstructed by Maharana Kumkha in the year 1452CE and named as Achalgarh. It is one of the renowned forts in Mount Abu. While visiting this place outside there is a temple named Achaleshwar Mahadeva temple that is dedicated to Lord Shiva (The Hindu God).

Guru shikhar

Guru Shikhar is a peak in Mount Abu from where you can view the magnificent view of the town. It is around 15 kms away from Mount Abu. This place has become one of the most and must tourist visiting places in Mount Abu.

Adhar Devi

The Adhar Devi Temple is one of the popular religious and pilgrimage place for many devotees located in a cave and it is around 5kms away from Mount Abu. This temple is dedicated to Godess Durga. You can reach the temple by climbing 365 stairs.

Trevor's Tank

This tank has also become most famous destination for scenic beauty and also for Bird watching. This place is good for nature lovers and photographers. It is around 5 kilometers from the main town of Mount Abu. It is a man Made tank. It is maintained by Forest Department supposed to be lot of crocodiles in it. Good place for making picnic.

How to get Mount Abu

    Airport - There is no airport in Mount Abu. Nearest airport is the Udaipur Airport that is around 200 kms away from Mount Abu. From Udaipur you can hire taxi or private vehicles to reach Mount Abu.

    Train - Abu Road Railway Station is the nearest Railway station that is just 28 KM from the main city. It is well connected with all major cities of Rajasthan and other routes to New Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.

    Road - Mount Abu is well connected with other major cities. The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation runs deluxe and semi-deluxe buses connecting to nearby cities like Delhi, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer etc. You can also avail buses and private cabs to reach Mount Abu.
